The Omnipresence of God

The Omnipresence of God

When I was a young, naïve, Christian, many questions would enter my mind – like - how could God be everywhere at once? I thought about the age of the earth and all of the people who had lived centuries before, and those of us who currently fill the earth’s continents in the various nations. So the critical question really was just how could God be everywhere at once?

One Easter, Resurrection Sunday, when I thought about Jesus dying and giving his life for us, I began to think of HIM as a spirit. Most importantly, I realized that for those of us who had accepted HIM as our personal Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, HE would dwell within each of us, thus being everywhere at once, and everywhere that mankind could possibly find him self.

You come to find that God is eternal, and is not limited by time; He is omnipresent and not limited by space. (Psalms 139:7-10); Proverbs 15:3; Jeremiah 23:23, 24). Jesus was called Immanuel, or “God with us” (Matthew 1:23). God is self-existent, eternal, and is an infinite Being.

It is so wonderful to know that God is always in our midst. (Matt.18:20) and that HE will be with us even unto the end of the world. (Matt. 28:20). In closing God is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient. He is the Creator of the Universe. He is three persons in one Spirit. He is my God.

Encouragement to Parents

I was born and raised in the Holiness church and that was all I knew, But when I grew up, I decided I would never make my child (ren) go to church if they didn’t want to go.
I went to California and sowed my wild oats, going to parties and clubs drinking and trying to smoke (never could inhale/exhale properly) having what I thought was fun.
But guess what, after awhile, I still wanted something deeper - what I didn’t know- but after a time found myself back in church, praising and worshiping. A feeling of contentment became a part of my life.

I found that the scriptures (Proverbs 22:6) “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it”. So parents don’t give up on your children, the Word of God is true, they will return.
